The Dalles Wrestling Club at the Central Oregon Classic Qualifier

The Dalles youth wrestlers competed at the Central Oregon Classic Qualifier on Saturday 02, 2010.  Each wrestler had a chance to win one of the three spots to wrestle at the 2010 Oregon Wrestling Classic on January 9th.  There were four other qualifiers across the state that also take the top three wrestlers in each age and weight.  All wrestlers that make the top three spots will get to compete at the Classic

Any new wrestler can just show up on any Monday or Wednesday at 6 PM at The Dalles JR High.  Just bring a parent or guardian, fill out the proper paper work and start wrestling.  The season usually lasts through February so there is still plenty of time.

The goal of the officers and parents of The Dalles Wrestling Club is to instill a sense dedication, discipline and hard work in our children through wrestling.  Our athletes gain a sense of self pride, confidence, and achievement.

Sportsmanship and team camaraderie are a critical part of every practice and wrestling meet. The members of The Dalles Wrestling Club would like to invite boys and girls of all skill levels ages 5 -12 to participate in the 2009 – 2010 folk style wrestling season.

Through Dedication, Discipline and Hard Work we will show our growing youth the skills needed to compete in a wrestling match while teaching life skills to make them a better person as they grow and move on to this ever growing world.
